The Guides: Craig

Craig Jones was born and raised in the five river valley on the banks of Rattlesnake Creek just outside of Missoula Montana. Growing up Craig spent his summers working in his family’s fly shop or on the river with father Mark Jones, a pioneer Missoula area outfitter. After Craig graduated from the University of Montana Western with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science and Fresh Water Fisheries, he pulled up stakes and headed out into the world only to come running back to the place he had grown to love, the Big Hole River.
There is nothing more satisfying to Craig than watching his anglers land a fish, whether it be the first fish on a fly rod or the Brown Trout of a life time. When Craig is not guiding he is roaming Montana finding new territory and new fish for himself and his anglers.
"I fish because every day is new, every day I am surprised, every day I am humbled, and every day is unlike any other."
