The Guides: Matt

"Blondie" as he is better known amongst the senior guide staff brings to us a breath of youth coupled with knowledge of waters that non of us have ever fished. Matt was raised on Montanas largest Cattle Ranch the Mattador, where his dad has been the “cow boss” for Matts entire life. Long days and hard work are no stranger to Blondie, neither are brown trout, spring creeks and how to catch fish in the tricky waters. Although he is young in years, Blondies people skills and knowledge of the scape, waters and inhabitants runs deep. As many of you know, spending a week with our apprentice guides typically turns into a 20 year friendship with the head guide!
