The Main Lodge: The Great Room

Original owner and founder of the Complete Fly Fisher, Phillip Wright, worked closely with his wife Joan at designing and building one of the most unique lodges in existence. Their mission started with finding the perfect location on one of the greatest trout streams in the world. They found their location on a grand riffle with a small island and spring fed channel along the banks of the Big Hole River in Southwestern Montana.
The lodge is designed to promote light and vision. You can view birds flying overhead as well as trout feasting on evening hatches from almost any vantage in the lodge. The grandeur of the high ceilings, natural lighting and complete openness instantly kindles a warmth that cannot be replicated. The same is true of the adjoining kitchen. It is large, open and welcoming. Phil and Joan where true visionaries. They invented a style that is timeless and created a lodge that is uniquely fitting to its surroundings.
