Waters - Missouri
Although the “MO” is a two hours drive through the Big Sky country we consider it “home water” Our guides spend a day a week there for good reason. This is a huge spring creek like river that is lousy with 18-22 inch brons and rainbows, eager to eat a nymph and thrilling to fool on a small dry fly after a careful stalk.
The hatches on the MO are legendary beginning the season with the tiny blu winged olives, follwed by pale morning duns along with a blizzard like caddis hatches. For nearly two months Trico spinner falls were trout line up like they are at the buffet line at a Sunday brunch. Also for the streamer enthusiast the bugger fishing early and late in the day can be very rewarding.
